thinkin about some stage 3 jammer nozzles

I'm thinking of trying a set of stage 3 jammer nozzles on my truck, I generally do all my towing with the Blue Chip box turned off & just run the Van Aaken + injectors, right now I don't have any heat issues with just the 275hp RV injectors, but was wondering if the 100hp jammers would be too much/not enough????? a friend of mine ran some stage 5 jammers with a comp & it was just way too smokey for me & the fuel mileage went way down (probably more from driving habits but........) I just don't wanna kill my fuel mileage or not be able to shut off the blue chip box & kill most of my smoke, do you think the stage 3's will be too much???? thanks, Dusty

No I don't think that they'd be to much, they'd work pretty decent I'd imagine!!

Champs hows your clutch? Was thinkin either stage 1 of 2s but didn't want to kill the factory clutch right off the bat.

Also where did u get yours? So far the best place I've found was citydiesel.net.

My clutch is good for now, I have only towed once about 10-12k but it did really good. I didnt pull any hills so I dont have any reference as far as EGT's on a realy long hard pull would be, I took it easy for smoke and clutch.

My IP is the prob now, ran it dry I guess. I run it pretty hard through 2nd and 3rd and about 1/2 of 4th every now and then but so far so good, KNOCK ON WOOD. Im about to upgrade to a drag comp hopefully, after that I bet its not long before I need one though.

Jamie

check www.accuautoparts.com I think i paid $207.00 for the III's. Just checked and they are now $248.00

check ebay http://search.ebay.com/search/search...tor&category0=

$232.00 but it now

Ok I know this sounds crazy but city has just the nozzles you install listed for 175.Then they sale the whole injector for 300 with a 200 in core.Does that make since? It will be a while for a get the injectors, even a truck (still got to find one now really since I sold my lifted 02 chevy) but I'm tryin to learn and get a head of I can so when I get CTD I'm really to bomb casue stock sucks.

I think the III's are the perfect combination.. turn up the box to play.. turn it down for towing... I tow with the box on level one.. With the box off or down you'll get a little puff of smoke..

citydiesel?? I saw a different price?? You buy just the nozzles.. You change them out... You buy the injector.. they change them out, and check the pressures, and make any adjustments... the core charge is to make sure they get your old injectors back.. No core charge for the nozzles only.. as they are made from new blanks...

Sorry that was what I was tryin to say. No core for just nozzles cause then you have no injectors to put the nozzles on.

My question is, are the whole injectors 500 and then send the core and you get 200 back, or are they 300 dollars you send the core and get back 200?

My stock clutch lasted about 20 min w/ the Jammer III's. 4-5 hard runs and it began slipping in 5th. I can now slip it in 4th if I try hard enough. I took the VA5 off after I slipped it the first time hoping that it would last a little longer.
All in all I have a very understanding wife and now a new clutch sitting in the shop waiting to get installed.

Yea.. the stock 6sp clutches don't hold up so well... I put comp box on at 33K.. add the injectors at 96K.. (about)... ran the stock clutch until 143K... 5sp... Yea.. I could have killed it if I had wanted too..

Funny my clutch had 145k miles on it and with a hrvp and mach 4's it held unless I got crazy with it. It definately didn't like boosted launches though It didn't look bad when it came out, but the flywheel had several hot spots and it smelt bad

Strange how some 6spd clutches hold better than others. I guess the driver has a lot to do with it.
