hello guys i have noticed lately that my temp guage is running over 190 especially with the air on .i bought this truck last fall so i dont know if this is normal or not. i have plenty of antifreeze i have checked several times . when i back off the truck and go slower she comes down to 190. noticed today she was up guessing 210 220 area still far from the red.

normal? or help

Mine barely makes it over 190 at 100 outside with the air on. I would search some threads and look for thermostate information.

I would think the thermostat is either sticking or is a 195* I just took my 195* out and put a 165* in and now I cant get my truck warm enough.

Dodge puts the 195* in the trucks right or am I thinking of something else?

AFAIK, some earlier 2nd generation 24V trucks may have had 180 degF thermostats, but the later ones had 190 degF. The 190 degF thermostats work fine, even when towing our 13,500 lb 5th wheel in the Texas Hill Country in 100+ degF ambient temperatures. My truck runs a needle width below 190 degF empty, a needle width above 190 degF towing, and on a steep grade if the temp starts to rise more than 5-10 degrees, the fan clutch kicks in and brings coolant temps right back down.
