Maybe I am doing something wrong. With the jumper in it does not matter where the switch is and with it out it don't work either.................................

Mine is wired different. **** I wish I could find the schematic. I'm using a DPDT switch that is momentary on-off-momentary on. 3 relays are used.

Switch up locks the converter, stepping on the brake turns off that relay thus returning the TC back to stock operation. Switch in the middle is normal operation. And switch down turns off the relay again returning to stock operation.

I've taken this one step further and installed 2 LEDs, one that lights when the TC locks on it's own, and one that lights when I manually lock it.

There's a pic in my gallery that shows this installed in a Scotty pod. It's not a close up though.

Yes leave the switch in the ungrounded (off) postion and the truck's TC will perform just like stock.
Ok. Thanks. I'll let yall know how it works out here in a little bit.

Not sure if this link will work. I did a little PDF on my setup. I will try to leave it up for a while to give folks a chance at it. If anything it shows where to find the wire and where to put the jumper.

I think I would like to try the DPDT switch setup though. I like the way it sounds. If yall find the schematic please post it.

After playing with the 2 wires on a 3 prong switch to see which one works, I finally got the switch working and all I can say is wow.

After playing with the 2 wires on a 3 prong switch to see which one works, I finally got the switch working and all I can say is wow. I noticed an immediate difference. I didn't switch it on until I hit 40 and then I stood on it. Man it's nice not to have the tranny downshift and bang the rev limiter and then grab the next gear. This really is a simple mod. Now I just need to run the wires through the fire wall instead of the window.

I wouldn't even call this a project. I didn't even have time to finish my beer before everything was done.

I put more schematics in my gallery this morning, along with a Q & A sheet. I also have the 3 relay info in there now too.

Good luck and enjoy.

I remember reading somewhere that you might need to reflash the PCM on some 96's. The search function isn't working so I couldn't find the thread.
