Synthetic Engine Oil - Has anyone dyno tested dino vs. syn?

Has anyone dyno tested regular dino engine oil like Rotella T or other major brands, and compared it to Mobil 1, Redline, Amsoil, Royal Purple.

Has syn been proven to provide more HP on the dyno? If so, how much?

I saw a dyno test once and it was with Royal purple the engine gained 1 HP
I really think synthetics really prove them self in the gear train better then in a engine .lots of high miler cummins that have just run dino. MY .02

I am still in the air with the synthetic oil thing.

I personally have witnessed while running synthetic:

1.Engine runs better upon startup
2.Engine gets better mileage

What I fear is maybe not getting enough lubrication protection when I am competing with the truck

I think I will go back to dino for the summer months and run the synthetic in the winter like I am doing now.

And if you have a problem with the cooling system syn can help protect you from damage better than dino.

Synthetic oil is better overall, but I wouldn't think adding hp at the wheels is one of the main advantages. I did see a test on Spikes "HorsepowerTV" where they changed everthing over to Royal Purple on a Z28 w/6 speed, and got some extra hp out of it (like 12 or so). Just adding syn to the engine, not much diff IMO.

Where the synthetic oil is really better is where I live - Canada. At -40*, 15w40 has the consistency of a bar of soap. Ow40 Synthetic is my choice here in winter.
