I recently(1-2 thousand miles ago) installed a superb turbo with a bd ex manifold and ddp2 injectors. Initially I was surprised how much more the turbo whined. I am using the stock air box and a K&N filter and checked the filter minder often to make sure there was never a restriction. Lately the turbo hasn't seemed to be as loud. After dialing in my afc yesterday I pulled the intake to find what I thought was excessive side play, enough that I can make the inducer touch the housing although there was no evidence that this had happened yet.The turbo when new did not have very much side play at all. I reinstalled my stock hx35 and pulled the superB apart finding that there is little to no play between the shaft and bearing but a significant amount between the bearing and housing. Oil supply was checked finding it to be ok.I will be contacting BD on monday. Anyone have any advise?

 

Also, egts never over 1200 and always allow the egts to cool to 300 before shutdown.

 

sounds like BD might have a warrenty issue on there hands.
