I'd expect it to perform very well. After all, the PDR twins perform well and their 40s don't have the redesigned wheel of the Super 40 (although I suspect that with the release of the Super 40, all 40s from PDR would have this compressor wheel fitted).

However, imo, the HT3B is a dinosaur, and you can do much better for bototm chargers. It's just popular because it's so easy to get one for cheap, and they DO work just fine.

However, if *I* were building twins, I would go Super 40 (or PDR 40 if it has the new comp wheel), and an HX60, s400 variant (like a B2), or something one off like a T-netics T91 thumper or Garrett GT42R.

Agreed the 3b is a dinosaur.

Wouldn't the HT60 be preferred over the HX60?

i second this comment these are very nice turbos and my twin has a s400 on the bottom and it performs dang nice...........found out today the injectors that where in the truck were already aftermarket so im guess this is why they spool up so FAST......i mean it is amazingly fast.........my twins consist of some combination of a s300 wastegated turbo and a s400 nonwastegated turbo......both by schwitzer

My understanding is that the HT60 is easier to install than an HX60 (different rotation?), but the HX has more options WRT housing size and such.

I could be 100% wrong, as Holset model variants and difference is something I know VERY little about. Wish I could find someplace to read up on them and their nomenclature.

They are today...but apparently the oldest kits used a small s400 on the bottom. And just so everyone knows, there are LOTS of S400 variants out there.

I have 2, a modified one that is called the B2, and a stock one off a 11.1L Detroit that has a 64mm compressor...not really twins material . Would probably work really well for someone with a slightly modified truck who towed A LOT and had EGT issues. Not me, I really have EGT issues, and a need for more power
