my buddy has a used suncoast VB, i can proably get off him for a good price. should i? or wait and get all Goerend brothers stuff. i would like to get GB tranny stuff instead of suncoast, just b/c of the stuff i ve heard on here. but i figure if i can get the suncoast for $200 or so. is this a good deal or should i wait? also i plan on running a DTT or Goerend TC not suncoast, for sure. any input is appericated.

I have a Suncoast valve body and really like it. Tons better than the piece of crap Trans Go kit I had.

Smooth transition from park to all gears and plenty of hydraulic PSI.

All the valve bodies are nearly identical IMHO, they all do the same thing regardless of the company. I don't see where any of the big names like Suncoast, Goerend, DTT...have anything over the next company.

 

Its best to stick with one company when it comes down to trannies if you ask me. Mainly because if you ever go with a built one from one brand, you will have to replace it with their brand anyways.
