my pick up is a stock 96 12V with the nv4500. im just wondering what modifications i should have done to my truck before installing the 4k spring. I wont be using the truck for sled pull or drags but i would like to be able to rev the engine up higher while towing or blowing away thoe ricers downtown.

 

Guages first and foremost without a doubt.Then exhaust,intake/filter,fuel plate.And definately get the valve springs in addition to the govenor springs.

 

Timing advance, makes the upper RPMs more fun.

I don't think intake/exhaust are as vital as some. I ran stock for a while, EGTs were fine, and I didn't see a performance gain from either.
