Still need trans help

I had a Goerend built trans installed locally, and it's not right. The shift from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd are softer than stock at both light throttle and WOT. TC lockup in 3rd and OD are way too harsh, both at light throttle and WOT. They sent me a pressure gauge to double check the VB, and it reads normal. 75 psi at idle, 150 psi at WOT, and rises evenly with increased throttle. It seems weird that a 75 psi shift and 150 psi shift would both feel the same. No codes, fluid good, TV cable good, and I would guess the APPS/electrical is good since the VB gets cued to make more pressure with more throttle. They are sending me a new VB to try, since that test port doesn't tell the whole story. They're trying to make it right, but I can't drive to Iowa, and it's hard for them to diagnose over the phone. They haven't experienced this problem before.
Have any of you heard of a problem like this, or any ideas what may cause it?
thanks

thanks, I'm in rural upstate New York. No real performance shops or experienced trans shops around, that's why I bought the full assembled trans from Goerend. I'll try the VB swap, and see if that helps. Just had hoped someone here had a similar problem, and could say what caused it to act this way.
