Looking for replacment steering stabilizer. Search was inconclusive. Would like Rancho 5000. Will their listing for Dana 60 axle (#RS5403) fit 02 OEM brackets or do I need their kit? Any other brands recommended?

Steering stabilizers are far from rocket science, a $34 Heckethorn stabilizer from the auto parts has been great for over 200k for me.

 

Thanks Bill. Having added Darrins Trak Bar Kit recently, which puts 03 trackbar too near axle mounted steering stabilizer, I wanted to use OEM brackets so could use Darrins Spacer/Bolt (provided) to move steering stabilizer 1" towards front of truck.
Figured I would replace shock at same time. This was reason for concern-should have explained. Will check out Heckethorn.

 

Maybe someone else can verify this if it fits on the 02.

RS5404 is the Rancho part number I know fits 01 trucks, even tho it doesn't list it.

 

Procomp has a SS for the 02 2500's I will send you a PM back in a min Johnson.

 

That number is it. Just installed one. Dont know why it isnt listed.

 

Have verification from several sources, Rancho rs5404 is the right one and it does fit OEM brackets.
