Steering Pod Mounted Gauge

Has anyone used the pod that goes on the steering column to mount a gauge. Considering using one to mount the FP gauge with and was goinng to upgrade my 2 gauge A-Pillar Pod to a 3 gauge one but saw the steering column one and it looks pretty nice. Does it block the view speedometer area?

I use one for my FP gauge... I don't find it obstructing to my driving experience... if it blocks the speedo, it certainly doesn't block the range you drive in... 10+mph.

I have the F/P gauge, steering pod mount (right hand side) and the only thing that it I can see it blocks is the parking brake light. Just remember to check the P/brake before moving. Guess what I didn't do!!!

I have one for an EGT, and like the location. It doesn't block anything you need to see when rolling.

Love mine, you do loose some of the idiot lights on the bottom of the cluster but the most annoying is the WTS light. It's not bad just a lean to the right and you can see it. Yesterday I saw a Ford with a 4 gauge pillar. If I had it to do again I would have done that but I searched and there wasn't a 4 gauge pod available.

Here is a pic

They don't make a 4 gauge pod for the Dodge pillar...

I will caution on one thing when running the fp gauge on the column... that pod is a tight fit and it can be a real pain in the ..... to get the fitting on the back of the gauge and to fit in the pod. I actually put a hole in the back of the pod to run the tubing so that it wasn't kinked at the gauge.

I see two size gauges 2" and 2 1/16" will the 2 1/16" fit in the gauge pod for the steering column. Really would like to go with the electric fuel pump pressure and sending unit and snubber. thanks ED

All the 2 inch gauges are really 2 1/16, so yes, it will fit.

ok so that helps me make a decision. If I were to stick with the 2" only the choices were even smaller Ed

Not sure what the WTS light is and was curious what electric gauges you went with. Did you put some sort of snubber in to stop pulsation. Thanks ED

I got a stewart warner gauge and sendor along with the pod together...i think i have a bad sender though because with the fass it only reads 7 psi no matter where the throttle is. Only time it moves is when the key is moved to on or off and when the system primes for the first start...
