I have one, but for warranty purposes they have caught on and won't accept them. For a core I do not see why they would care if it was tapped or not. That is why it is called a core.

Why would you send in a core with the stealth cover on it? I have used it and it worked great. Am I missing something?

Yea, you take the cover off and put the original cover back on before returning the core.

Take old cover off, bolt on new cover, turn in screw, attach wire, you are done.

I really recommend the stealth cover! I tapped the orginal pump wire, when the pump went out they gave me 200 dollars less then what the core was worth. I went to 3 injection shops and that all offered around 200-300 dollars less then what the core was worth. I said its just a wiring harness whats the deal??? They all told me that the module had to be replaced, the harness was built in to it. I Dont know how much truth there is to it, but I couldn't really argue with them, I needed my truck running again. I bought my cover from another injection shop for around 50 dollars if I remember right.

Every place in the world is going to take the cover off and see if the epoxy was pierced. It is no longer a secret. If you are getting the stealth cover just for core or warranty purposes save your money.

I like the stealth cover on my truck because it makes a better connection (short of actually soldering the wires together). As far as looking to see if the epoxy is pierced, you can put a dab of black RTV over top of the hole and hide 99% of the trace.

I figure I stand a better chance with the stealth cover then a clearly spliced wire. Most shops around here think a superchip is performance. They're more into building pumps for overtheroad trucks, industrial engines. If the pump doesn't look tampered with, they could care less.
