I pulled my turbo off today, it is packaged up and going to HTT tomorrow for the stage 3 upgrade,I will be running a 16cm housing on it in conjunction with the htb3 for my twin setup, I hope this setup performs well. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments about this combination.

 

I run a htt stage 3 as my top turbo and love it. I run a 14 wastegated housing but the 16 should be fine also. Are you running a external gate with it? Tim

 

Yes my plan is to use an external wastegate, I just need to look around and see what I can come up with for my application, it might be just as good and cheaper to just get a wastegated housing.

 

12v, i would highly recommend an external. i thought the same thing until i saw my drive pressure skyrocket at 50 psi of boost. now i have to go in and do it right.. although, you will be better off with a 16cm (i've got a 12). there's a lot of good deals on ebay for wg's.

hey 12 can you pass over your info you researched so i can debate about doing the same... im trying to determine if it going to be worth while for what i use the truck for the most

 

I run no wastegate.....with the 16 housing on a stock hx35. I know it could be better, and yes I will add an external for the hx35 someday....but the problem is , its so good already, Im in no hurry. It pulls my 50 ft enclosed at 24-26k lbs gcvw......no problem. I can run ls1 f bodies, vettes srt 4's from a roll...(30 mph).
