So it looks like your opinion on stacks has come a long way from at the dyno day .

I would really like to install stacks on my truck. There are two things that are stopping me.

#1 I have a camper shell. Now if I can get #2 resolved, I can customize my camper shell to accomodate the stacks

#2 My Dogs ride in the bed of the truck. If it is too loud back there (like if I was running a straight pipe), they would go deaf on long trips which we often take.

Do you think that if I were to go with a nice muffler, that I could install the stacks and keep the noise in the bed (under the camper shell) down relatively low?

I'd love to get some nice long bull haulers on there and have them coming up through the camper shell.....I think that would look sweet.

Mines not loud at all with the muffler. Sounds like a medium duty commercial truck.

looks awsome STACKS RULE

mine are 6 inch slashcut that go into a 5 inch no muffler no cat just straight to the turbo baby!

A guy named greg from S&S RV did mine there not a specific brand though they were custom done.

one question though with no power adders done to my 99 would the big stacks have an effect on backpressure?

Mines 5" straight to 6" miter. I'm not sure what you guys are paying for kit prices from whoever....but I bought all my stuff over the counter at the local Pete dealer, all for about $250 canadian. The stack (36"x6") was only $166 new in the box. plus 3 mandrel 90s some flex pipe and a few clamps.

I ordered dual 5" Aussie style tips... because most people, especially around here have the miters, and don't get me wrong I absolutely love the miters even more so then the aussies but I don't like to have something that "everyone" has... but I'm thinking I might just have to be one of the "in-crowd" and call black cloud tommorrow and ask for miters instead.
