I just put mine on about a month ago and I can't beat the sound of them. I have a 4" straight to dual 5's and it sounds like a big truck. My buddy has a 4" staight pipe out the back of his truck and it doesn't sound near as good as the stacks.

I've been wanting to cut mine into miters level with the roof but I already have soot all over.

I'm just waiting for some little ***** to put something down one of mine because I live in town.

[IMG][/IMG]7in miters, 48in tall. love them, I ran a straight pipe for a couple of weeks with my 5in miters. it got real loud with a trailer behind it. I installed a flow though muffler, I also drilled a small hole in the lowest point in the exhaust under the truck so rain would drain out. Love my stacks. hahaha

a buddy of mine just put a set in his truck without flex pipe and he hasnt had any issues with it yet, i have a set coming for my truck and i dont think that i am going to use the flex pipe either, if i do it will be a really short piece. i orderd five inch stack for my truck but i am really wishing that i would have gotten the 6's. my friends talked me out of it

Isn't the flex pipe there for when the cab/box flexes so it doesn't over stress the rest of the exhaust?

I love em. Made my own crossbox for UNDER the bed. No bed space taken up except the stacks themselves. And YES, it can be done. Many say the fuel tank is in the way.

i have a five inch flat cut stack and the rain hasnt effected me. it sat for 3 days in the rain and no problems. i dont think that much water can get in to effect your exhaust. and most of it will evaporate the first couple seconds of driving. but just put somthing over it when not driving if your worried

I don't have any flex. They're ALL stainless and no drain hole. The exhaust running thru is over 600 degrees most fo time, and 300 idling. How the helll is water going to stay in there at those temps?!
Anyway, stainless don't rust so if water did get in there and sit for any length of time, it'd be steamed out in short order when I fire that CTD up.

how hard are those stainess stacks to keep polished, i have heard that you really have to keep after them to keep them looking good.
