stack hook up question

when hooking up stacks to my 97's factory exhaust what is the best way of going about doing this. i think i am going to run a 5" pipe through the bed to a 5" 90* elbow to a 5-4 reducer to 4" flex to a 4-3 reducer and weld that to my factory exhaust with clamps every where else. or would i be better running 4" all the way back to my factory for now and up grading to 4" turbo back later.

how much hp will 4" pipe to 5" stacks handle and will it handle these basic mods

Phat Shaft 64 , 370's, lazer cut dv's(not right away), 10 or 100 plate, water meth (would come with lazer cuts), timing, 3kgsk, and a trans and head work.

i ask just because i hate to do things twice

Just get your 4" downpipe now, and go from there. Search for stacks, and Grand Rock, for more ideas.

I ordered a stack kit from blackcloud today,I got a 5 inch from turbo back to dual 6 inch stacks. They will make you anything. The kits are from grandrock.I chose to do it right from the start ,I dont see the point of buying a kit and jimmyrigging it to a stock downpipe. It was more money of course but I am confident that I will be pleased with it

i just welded a piece of 3inch to a 5inch cross piece and conected the 3inch stubout to my factory exhaust with flex and ran the 5inch cross piece to 2 5inch stacks,it was very easy and clean and works great, lowered egts by almost 100,the box thing would be easy too,get a chunk of 5x5 sqaure tube with caps on both ends and weld on 2 5inch round adapters for your stacks and a 3inch adapter inline with your factory exhaust, conect with flex and your done, well maybe put some brackets to hold the stacks to your box then your done,
