which spray in liner?
which spray in liner?
I'm shopping for a spray in liner and looking for opinions on what to get. Is there one that is the "best"
after looking into armor coatings, Line X, Rhino, and Permatech I'm leaning towards permatech
Re:which spray in liner?
Why are you leaning toward the Permatech, if you don't mind my asking? Sorry I can't be of any help - just trying to see how you came to your current position. Thanks.
Chris

I have a Rhino, this is my second one. Only problem is the fading, but they have some spray on stuff for that. I hear the Line-X is real good and doesn't fade. Hope that helps some! ;D

Tony

I have Line-X in my truck and I love it. That stuff will take anything you can throw at it and not chip. As far as dulling goes, it's been in there for 4 months and still looks like it did the day it was sprayed in.
Re:which spray in liner?
Based on experience, I'd recommend Line-X, I had it in a previous truck and it's a winner. I know the local guy here also sprays it on new fire truck parts for both Seagrave and Pierce.

I have been planing on putting the Rhino in mine, have it in another truck and love it. I thought I saw a Line X once and if I recal it is more of a hard finish where the Rhino is more like rubber when it is on. Maybe someone can clear that up for me.
Re:which spray in liner?
That is what I thought. I haul stuff from time to time that could scratch pretty easy and thought the Line X was more of a sand pappery finish to it which wouldn't be a good thing, the Rhino works out good for that.

The company I use to work for did a study on bed liners since we had service trucks for all 180 shops and mechanic's are hard on bed liners along with fuel and oil spills...we found that Arma Coatings gave the best warranty and would fix any troubles with the liner as long as we owned the truck....IMHO

Heres a link to one of the dealers near me
http://www.apsfoam.com/armacoatings.html

I've got a Line-X, and a lifetime warranty is pretty much an industry standard now.
My buddy Rhino'ed his Chevy 1500.
He likes mine better.
The most important thing is to personaly look at several jobs the shop has done.
The quality of the job depends on the person behind the spray gun.

UV protectant mixed in and not afterward like the Arma. Rhino is what I had always had my mind made up on, but from what I'm hearing it's not good in humid climates...

They will finish the Permatech how I want, as far as texture. and it's softer and more nonslip than the line X.

I'm going to the permatech shop next week to look at some examples.

I'm getting the Linex installed in my new truck tommorrow. I had Linex in a previous truck and really liked it. I was looking at Rhino because it is a little softer but I don't like the dealers in my area. A buddy got his 3500 done by one of the local Rhino guys and he got the stuff on his truck (bad deal). The other Rhino guys operation is dirty and looks like a gypsy outfit. I am driving 160 miles to have mine done by a Linex outfit that has a great rep. and better price by $50.00 then the gypy Rhino guy. Bottomline I don't think you can go wrong with any of the ones you named, just have to find the best guys to install. Where I live that was not easy. Do your home work. Once they do it, it doesn't come off. :'(
