speedometer correction
speedometer correction
I looked on the search and couldnt find anything so I thought I would ask the question-When you change tire size your speedo will be slow, how do you correct it? Is it like my old truck with a gear in the transfer case so that you could just get the right gear, or is it like my old f350 that you could recalibrate it in the computer, or how do you change it? I just put on 315/75/16 BFG's which are 35's pretty much and she's running a little slow. Probably 5 mph. Any help would help me out.
Re:speedometer correction
I was off 13% from 245's to 315's. Look at the Abbott ERA at<br>http://www.atrol.com/. Workd very well. You program in the tire size you went to and it makes the correction.

Re:speedometer correction
I will go with the superlift because you can reprogram for two different size tires. Up here one for the winter and one for the summer is a nice feature considering we swap tires all the time. Thanks for the replys.
Re:speedometer correction
I had my ecm programed for bigger tires. Any competent Dodge dealer with the ORB should be able to change the pinion factor and tone ring readings to set your speedo right on. Hard part is finding a competent dealer. Only a 5 minute job.
