FYI
At 45 psi and 100+ mph, I'm at 1450* EGT's with a 14 cm2 turbine housing.

How fast it will spool depends on how much fuel and how it is delivered. Adding Smarty increased spoolup time considerably for me.... sooner and faster!

JR says $600 plus shipping for a WG 14cm housing...or i can get "smart" and spend $700 on something else and make more power and keep the 16cm housing

Seriously though, wouldn't it be easier and cheaper just to get the tighter housing from JR?
It's gonna be BOTH-- eventually!

Map?

That late spool up could be caused by a faulty MAP sensor.
Do you have any boost fooling box? Try without any box...
Check to simple things first!

THANK YOU for the suggestion marco...i have a comp installed. do you mean just turn it off or completely disconnect it. when i turn it off the lag is still there.

im getting my DTC's deleted this afternoon as i have the code that says my MAP is out of range because i ran around for 4 months with the map unplugged so i could shamelessly blow smoke off idle whenever i wanted. i plugged it back in but with the DTC still in the computer it may be affecting something. thats my next step tonight as i have a local guy who is gonna put the smarty in my truck and see if it helps.

Disconnect the comp completly. Of course plug in the MAP!

The code alone will not defuel the truck. Try to check the codes with Smarty and see what comes up.
