Speaker Box

Has anyone made there own box to replace the middle seat in a 40-20-40 front seat like the JL stealthbox? I was wanting to just put a single 10 or 12'' sub. If you have built a box do you have the deminsions for it. Where else can you put a box without doing a full under rear seat box?

Most of the companies that make the prefab full underseat box, make a half underseat box. Other than that cant think of any other place you could mount one other than just sitting on the seat or floor.

Good luck

I bought one off a guy on E-bay...went by "hot-boxes." See if he's got anything on there now.

The thing slams...I've got a JL 12w6v2 with a 500W amp firing it, and it will rattle your brains in the cab, but you can't even hear it outside with the engine running.

I ordered one of the Ebay center seat boxes from hot-boxes just last week. Hopefully it arrives this week.

It'll be sweet to have bass AND have room behind my seat too!

The price was $150.00 plus 20 shipping.

I actually just got done building mine to go under the middle seat. Im still in the process of fitting the seat and all i am goin to cut about 2inches of foam aout of it and cut the console brackets to lower it down But other than that it was pretty easy it conforms to the hump in the middle and is cutout around the brackets. I can take pics if u want.

Hey, all you guys with subs...how did you mount your amps???

I've got mine on a board under the backseat, along with my crossovers for my speakers, and my distribution block and such. Only problem is the seat hits the amps when it's down, so I blocked it up to keep it from hitting them, and it's REALLY uncomfortable to sit on.

Any suggestions???
Thanks,
Chris

Chris you could raise the rear seat up just enough to clear. I made spacers to raise mine like 3in you mite not need that much made it out of 2-3 tubing see pic in my gallery.

I've thought about that as an option...will the hooks on the seat back still "hook???" If not, how do you hold the back of the seat up??

Thanks guys!
