Question Soot 101???

Does anyone know what is the best cleaner to remove soot off of my white paint from my MBRP duals?? The car wash just doesn't cut it.. Spray nine works exept for minor scratch's hold the soot!! Any suggestions??

Go to your local auto parts store and ask for their clay bar. It's made by a couple of different companies but the one I like is made by Mother's. It goes and removes impurities from the paint. It really helps with soot. At least it did on mine.

You're gonna make me post a pic. My 4x5x20 turndown looks like a stack coming out from under the bed, plus it keeps smoke off my truck =P

I agree this is a good way to eliminate it..

I do the same thing, also tide laundry detergent, instead of dishsoap works very well too, used to use it on my old ford idi, now i just use dawn..

You know Dawn and other dish soaps will strip the wax off the car also right? Not a very good idea unless you are planning on waxing the car that day.

well if your truck is anything like mine it dosnt know what 'wax' is. its never seen it and will probley never see it
