Yeah, that was a bit of a disappointment.

There's a little write-up on the kit here: http://www.off-road.com/dodge/trex/index.html with a follow-up article due next month.

Which mag? What did they say about it?

I may be interested in something like this in the (distant) future, I have quite a few friends in the desert-racing scene, all of them with compact trucks like Rangers and Tacomas... : I would love to see the look on their faces if I got all 4 wheels of a 7K lb. truck off the ground or charged through a whoop section doing more than 5mph. 8)

$3499 It's a chunk of change that's for sure, but maybe not totally unreasonable. What you're really paying for are the shocks, in their FAQ section they mention that the shocks run $500+ each and they are not lying. So you gotta figure at least $2000 for the set of 4. The 6061 alloy they use for the front shock mounts is probably not cheap, and I have no idea what the machining cost is on a set of those. I think the +2.5" springs up front are about $300? Not sure on that one though. And there's no doubt that they will make a decent profit on the kit, because it's obviously not a large volume product. I mean, how many people buy their CTDs with this kind of think in mind? Not me, but if I had $3499 burning a hole in my pocket... I would be tempted. ;D
