Solar panel chargers
Solar panel chargers
I was able to aquire a solar panel battery charger from a garage sale, and was hopeing someone could advise as to wheather or not It could do any damage to the trucks electronics? The specifications on the back of the panel are as follows.
Max power:3.2w
Voltage at max power:18.8v
Current at max power:170ma
I hopeing to use this device to keep the battery's charged up during the day will at work.
Thanks

that will not hurt your battery(s). The power output of a solar panel are so little that the battery(s) will not be effected. I take it though that you are using power through your batteries while at work...because realisticly you shouldnt need a charger unless the batteries are dead
I'd say that you should get a voltage limiter for 14.4V too- even though 170mA won't really cut it except for a minute trickle charge. If you want to run equipment like an espar heater the solar panel won't be enough.
