Smarty Update?
Here is what is needed to update your smarty software. All the files are available at http://madselectronics.com/download.html.
Start off by making a new folder on your computer desktop and name the new folder “smarty” This will make it easier to find the files after download.
You will need 3 downloads.
First you need to download the driver. This file is compressed so you will need to extract the files after download.
The driver is here. http://www.madselectronics.com/downl...DM_2.00.00.zip
The driver install directions are here (please read before you try to install the driver) http://www.madselectronics.com/downl...tallation..pdf
Then you need the smarty usb. This is the program which allows you to download the files into smarty. http://www.madselectronics.com/downl.../SmartyUSB.exe
When you go to update smarty you cant just hit the send button, you need to load the software into the smarty usb and then hit the send button.
file 2. open 3. look in the smarty folder to find the smte file.
Then you have the actual smarty software which is compressed and needs to be extracted.

I hope this makes it easier for you to understand.

When I done mine, I downloaded ALL of the files into a directory "Smarty", and then extracted them to another folder "Smarty Unzipped". After that, it went pretty smooth.
If you already have them downloaded, delete them and start all over.

The last paragraph describes what you have to do before you plug in the smarty.
