Ok guys correct me if I am wrong but the smarty is just a downloader, right? So if I knew someone that a Smarty I could inevitably hook it up, download and go on about my business without ever having to buy one?

 

no, its vin locked. you can can only load it on one truck at a time. once its loaded...it has to be unloaded from the truck before the tuner will work on another truck

 

nope, SMARTY is vin locked once it is installed on a truck, you can not download to another truck untill you de-program the truck back to the SMARTY.

So no pirating...Just buy one and support the minds that worked so hard to come up with it for us.

 

Well the price sure says they are very proud of their product! I was reading that the Edge comp, Smarty stack doesn't really work. So, would it behoove me to ditch the Edge comp for the Smarty? Or, is the Smarty only powerful when stacked with the TST PM3 Comp?

 

I have to agree... I think Macro is a genius. I have rode in several trucks with smarties and they are just wow.

 

The edge/smarty works well, you just use the timing of the edge box and the smarty on even numbers for just added fuel only.
