Smarty Question
Hey Yall
Dad just swapped from the EJA to a Smarty. So far so good. He is impressed with it.
One quick question. While I am familiar with the CR Smarty, Im not familiar with the injector duration on the 24v valve.
What would be the pros/cons to running the injector duration high/low?
Thanks!
Blake

If I remember right the duration setting is the duration of the injection. how long it will stay open? if you have big sticks with this well with the mach 4's atleast anything more than 3 I have higher heat and alot of smoke. since I have a tst I can run the timing on 4 which helps me spool the super special. if you dads truck is more stock he should be happy with the timing and better MPG. if he has stock clutch or tranny, the smarty will for sure challenge the life of it. when I had a SB OFE and FE they both slipped with the smarty turned up. doesn't anymore with the DD. I believe the new smarty's also come with the loaded software for cold weather 3 cyld cycle. there is limited info on www.madselectronics.com website on the REVO settings. hope I helped.

Thanks Bud
He has a SB OFE
Stock turbo and sticks
Right now Im playing around with it on SW7 Timing 2, Dur 3 and TQ 5, trying to get a feel for the upper limit so he can be aware.
Hasnt slipped, just was curious about running the inj duration up higher. So far he loves it, its so much smoother than the Edge.
Course I already knew that, I drank from the Smarty Kool-Aid a long time ago with my 6.7.
