smarty problems with quadxilla

has anyone ever heard of smarty leaving tracks or other junk in the ecm? im thinking this is what my problem is, i keep getting a check engine light and code reads low map voltage.....never had this problem untill i took the smarty off, i put the smarty back on no problem. im a little about this, but im not going go around bashing mads ro the smarty. but i have emailed marco with no responce.....so i figured id check out the fourms. and please keep the smarty is the best/worst and the quadzilla is the best/worst talk to a min. im not trying to bash any one product just see if it is the cause of my problems

are you setting an over boost code? smarty handles the boost fooling function while the smarty software is installed, remove smarty and you have no ecm boost fooling

Why not just download the new Revo & stack the Smarty? It works great stacked.

I couldnt tell much difference whe i borrowed my old smarty and stacked with the Adrenaline either. I was running the Comp tune also. I didnt get any codes after the smarty was removed, just the fuel cal code that comes while the smarty is on the truck

THANK YOU!!! somebody else that says the smarty is usless with the adrenaline

im still in the dark, everybody says smarty is the BEST thing in the world i emailed marco on this issue and no reply....it looks to me that this is caused by the smarty. i loved the smarty with the drag comp.....but the adr will walk all over that stack IMO

there may me a little diff but not enough to justify the price of a smarty.

What sw# were you running Smarty on? I was running sw2 & it sucked with ADR comp tune. I tried sw4 & WOOOOOHOOOOOO! This stack is sick.

sw 8 is the only setting i ever ran the smarty on.....that makes no diff. i honstley dont care if the smarty works or dont work with the adr, i sold the smarty and dont plan on getting another one.......i want to know what is causing this problem. like ive said a dozen times now im sure this is related to the smarty. i know the smarty is detectiable by the dealer scaner.......call me a lier but i know of several people that have had problems with the all mighty smarty leaving "junk" in the ecm......im afraid this is my problem as well

Well you may have a point there about the effects on the ecm after Smarty is removed and if you have stories about dealers being able to detect smarty tracks I would like to hear them. I have heard people here say that you will still get the cold weather high idle even when you have removed smarty and gone back to stock. That irritates me if it is true. I would like to hear some solid evidence that either supports these claims or debunks them. There are things I like about Smarty and others I don't. My truck hunts bad going into third gear lockup with any smarty program loaded. You might have to bite the bullet and try a different ecm. I see them on ebay a lot.

Its true the 3 cyl and cold weather high idle stays when you go back to stock. I believe the reason for this is the smarty does not store your stock settings to go back to when you go back to stock. It merely puts its stock software on your truck which has the current software updates and high idle stuff with it.

The High idle ,doesen't tell the dealer anything, it can be turned on or off by the dealer also. Before you go blaming anything maybe you should check out your map sensor as Bob said it could be dirty or going bad.
