Smarty and drag comp

So can a Smarty be used in conjunction with a drag comp? Or do you need a CaTCHER for the smarty to be useful? How much power will the Smarty and a CaTCHER give you? (A ballpark figure) I don't know a whole lot about either of these mod's but I know they're awesome. Just wondering how well it would work with my set up. Thanks

Eric

Catcher ECM and Smarty are one in the same almost, Catcher was a reflashed ECM and the Smarty is a downloader with Catcher software.

Eric.. the smarty is a programer... and there are different programs to choose from... with and without timing... so if you want to run it with the Comp.. just choose a program that does not included timing.. (The comp will do the timing.)
The Catchers are a reprogramed controller... the normal Catcher includes timing.. if you want to run it with a comp, find a "Special" Cather.. it does not change the timing.. There will be some Catchers fro sale soon, as more of the Smarties get out...
From the looks of things there are going to be a bunch in the local area.. (Smarties.) at one of the meeting, someone can unload the program from their truck.. and put it in your's for a trial run...

a bit off topic... but this thread made me think... what happens if someone that owns a Catcher re-flashes using the Smarty... is the catcher lost?

do the guys that own catchers still have their stock ECM's?

You wouldn't really lose the Catcher per se, the Smarty is essentially a Catcher with adjustability via the different downloads.

I'm sure some do...

If the catcher is in your ecm that would be the program that the smarty pulls and returns

The Smarty does not pull out a program from your ECM.
