I have read many threads about timing on the smarty and edge comp, but I honestly have to say I would rather run the timing on the comp rather than the smarty. Reason being is I tried the #9 setting with the comp off, and I smoke alot more. Don't know why but with comp on and running #8 it is much better as far as smoke control and egt's. Any ideas as to why this would be. Still love the smarty Great product, can't go wrong with it, even tho I only use one setting

 

I get less smoke with the tst on, go figure

 

Interesting....with the Smarty on #8 and the Comp, I could lay down a night inducing cloud. On #9 with no Comp, I would get an early puff that cleaned up quick.

And with the Smarty/TST, I still have a much smaller cloud than run the Smarty/Comp.

 

With the smarty by itself and the comp turned off on my truck I get a very small puff. With the smarty on 4 and the comp on 1x2 I have to be very easy on the throttle because I can easily lose the person behind me. With the comp on 5x5 and the smarty on 8, I recommend that you just don't drive behind me.

 

me too,comp on 5/5 and smarty#8= huge black smoke,like real huge,smarty on #9 and no comp= not so much smoke,i need a bigger turboooo
