He could be using the edge as a timing only box.

First off I;m new to the whole computer thing so sorry for typing the same thing 5 different times bare with me. The power button is made by blue chip and when this one was made it was 2002 I think they call it a blue box now. The PB is tapped into the injection pump wire and strictly fuels, the edge drag just works on the timing I removed it from the tapped wire and I think now works like a ez but not a 100% sure

I know it will work with the drag box but how about the power button or both. Thanks.
Put it on the even levels and you can stack the smarty with just about anything =P

I'd say you can run the smarty with either box, but if you use the edge box for timing you'll lose the smarty timing (run it on even numbers) and get the timing from the edge box.
You will see some better responsiveness from the smarty but not more power than with either combo.

You will have alittle more down low, but if your runnin a blue chip wire tap and a ez mode comp. I think I would have spent my $$$ on some bigger sticks or a better turbo. JMO

Ok so lets say I'm alright on the fueling mods and I don't go with the smarty, I know I need a bigger turbo HTT62/14 was the suggeston I got, which injectors do I go with Mach 3,4,or 5's or II Dragon flows and which size on them?? Will the smarty be worth getting down the road after the other stuff or is it just throwing money out the window??? Thanks.

As long as you runnin a ez, I wouldn't buy a smarty. Get the sps 62 and some 4's, and you will need to upgrade your clutch. With your HO pump 4's are all you can get the good out of. I had 6's in my HO, they ran alright, but I'm sure I wasn't gettin all the power out of them that I could have if I would have went to the SO pump.

Buy a Juice w/ Attitude and be done with it. I love mine but I'm fixing to move my Attitude monitor to the steering column and install ISSPRO gauges. I know its overkill but I like the look of gauges better, probably should have bought gauges first and got a Comp instead.

BlkDiesel, what is a sps62? What is a HO pump and SO pump Who makes the sps62? Do you think with my current set up and adding a turbo and 4's (southbend clutch is the first thing I'm doing in the next coming weeks cause my center force dual friction is just about shot) will get me to the 500hp mark or will I need more?

The sps62 is a super phat shaft turbo from Industrial Injections. I bought my phatshaft from Jetpilot- here's his page: http://www.performancedieselwarehouse.com/

HO refers to the high output pump that comes on 6 speeds and SO is the standard output for 5 speeds and autos. Despite the high output pump making more power stock it won't get you to 600 hp. while the so pump or hot rod pump (hrvp) can produce 600+ with the righ mods.

I'd think some mach 4's and a 62 mm inducer turbo along with a clutch that holds will get you to your goal of 500

OK, You guys may not like what I have to say, but it is my honest experience with a Smarty. First if you have cruise control and like to use it, the Smarty will make it surge terribly alone or stacked with an EZ or Comp. Second, stacked with a Comp it made 6 HP more than the Comp by its self and 37 Ft/Lbs LESS torque. Not a very good investment for $650. I can't comment on towing with it as I like to use my cruise control when I am trucking down the freeway. If I had the opprotunity to return it for what I payed for it, I would in a heartbeat. Jeff
