Slipped Timing in TX!
Slipped Timing in TX!
Hey all, does anyone know of someone that could help help me time my truck or if anyone knows of someone that will do it cheap? Or rent me the tools? My timing slipped the other night and I don't have the tools and everyone close that I got a quote from was crazy-expensive. Thanks for your help!
If possible I would like to get it fixed up this week, I'm going to the DFW Truck Showdown if someone just wanted to meet me there? Thanks!

At the moment back in Magnolia, but unfortunately my headgasket completely gave out yesterday night (had a small leak for a while) now I have run through a gallon of oil since. It didn't contaminate the radiator it just leaks a bunch of oil, so I filled it back up and limped home.
I'm not happy lol. I will be going out to College Station everyday nearly for the next week atleast (in my backup truck), how much would you charge to bump the timing back up and replace a HG (price for each)? I already have a Marine .020 over gasket sitting here... if that makes a difference. Thanks ya'll.

I can time a truck no problem I did mine when I moved it to 18* but didn't torque the nut as tight as Jetpilot recomends when turning 3200+ RPM because I didn't know at the time. I need to get the gasket swapped out and if I can find a place to do it for a reasonable amount I'll do that because I don't have much time on my hands right now. I'm going to go ahead and do an O-ring job, and HD valve springs while its off and see if I can port it out a little bit here at home... clutch1 I may be getting in touch with you on those timing tools.
