Skyjacker 7" double flex kit

I was thinking about getting the double flex 7" skyjacker kit for my 96 3500.... I was wondering if anyone had any experince with them... how long it takes to install and what else I might need besides the kit? The kit is VERY pricey @ $2000.00 but it's the tallest kit I can find.... Are there any other? I like the cheap'o Tuff country kit for it's price... any suggestions?

I found a LOT of info about that kit and many others that will give you big lift on www.pavementsucks.com

I am running the 4.5 Skyjacker kit with a set of 2" BDS spacers giving me 6.5" and I think it still rides real nice.

The hot ticket for big lift on a Dodge Ram is to run the Dick Cepek longarm kit, but use ONLY the control arm kit (you can buy it seperate from DC) and use the 7" Skyjacker springs (most people use 2" spacers on them for 9" or have custom springs made, either way they will run you about $200.00) and the Skyjacker Extreme Drop pitman arm. Then get a ThurenFab or DT track bar (everything else will just loosen up) and the rear lift of your choice and you have the best possible lift you could put on a Ram.

Believe me, it took me MANY hours of research to gather that up.... pavementsucks is the BEST site around for Dodge lift questions.

Is that Skyjacker kit a coilover? I thought I saw some cool stuff on their site the other day.

I'll repeat my mantra of "big lifts are bad", but if that's what you want, obviously the costs are worth it to you...

yea I have the DC arms, and coils on mine, 8 inch atlas rear springs, and threw away the factory block. if you do this, go with 10s, mine was a little low in the rear. I also have the stock pitman arm with a performance unlimited type steering setup that I made myself, and a DT track bar. and a 3 inch body lift. I am running 39.5 Iroks, PM me if you have any questions or need pics or anything

Wow thats alot of lift you guys are talking there. I am not looking to lift it that high, yet . But I was wondering how much lift is needed to fit 37s on our trucks. Would a 4.5 Inch lift do it, with no rubbing offroad? Thanks for the info and nice trucks yet again.

I have the TC 5" lift on mine and ran 36" swampers no problem, pics in photo callery. I have installed 3 TC lifts on dodges and have it down to 5 hours to do everything now.

I didn't feel like cutting pasting lifts together... but I really do appreciate the info on the different combos. I will keep it in mind for the future.

I ended up going with the Skyjacker 7" long arm kit with the Extreme drop pitman and the SJ adjustable trackbar and new leaf packs for the rear instead of add-a-leafs.

For tires I got (2) SuperSwamper IROK Radial 37x12.50x16's for the front and (4) SS Bogger 38.5x11x16's for the rear. I was told the 37's actually measure out to 37.9 inches and the 38.5's were like 38.4... They said a .5 inch difference. So hopefully it wont look funny.
