Ok Help the new guy out here. May be dumb question to you but what exactly removing the silencer ring do for you and how do you do it. I'm ordering my Scotty II and I only have stock exhaust straight piped. Does the Scotty and the ring removal both give me some more of the sweet sounds I love so much.Thanks

 

The Scotty does indeed allow you to hear you turbo I am thinking of putting my silencer ring back on to see if it will get rid of the high pitched dog whistle I hear.

Other than that one high note I like the sound better with the ScottyII.

BTW, here at DTR, the only dumb questions are the ones that never get asked, so ask away!. There are a good bunch of people here who don't mind sharing what they have learned, and I for one have asked my own share of dumb questions.

I took my silencer ring out but with the K&N that thing whistled way too loud for me.It just seemed like it sounded like I was going a lot faster than what I was.With it in,it feels like I have more power because its not as loud,if that makes any sense.
