Shudder W/VanAken
Shudder W/VanAken
Has anyone else experienced a "shudder" at low speed with a Van-Aken box?
the sensation is like draging the brakes with a badly warped brake rotor.
I just put the box on and noticed it in 6th gear at about 40mph.

Yeah both trucks we have do it at low rpm and light throttle. I think it is because of the timing, and it is worse on Dad's HO. I put toggle switches on them for on/off, and it you turn it off for light throttle, it goes away.
On ours, there are 2 orange/black tr. wires wrapped together with a plug on the end. I cut the plug off, and ran wires to a toggle switch in the cab. I think we have the VanAaken smartbox R, and I don't know what year they were made because we bought them used, so I don't know if all models have that or not. Let me know if you need some more help
