noob style question???

got a dumb one but i keep reading about tapping "the wire" in 2nd gen 24v's and how it supplies more power. what i dont get is how odes tapping the wire i assume on the vp44 net more power gains then just plug and play boxes

you gain more power from tapping the wire because a plug in box will only change the timing of the engine.. it does not inject any more fuel than normal.. which is why you only get about 50 HP .. when you tap the wire you get more fuel along with the different timing and that is your high HP gains..
