Are there any disadvantages to a shot throw shifter. And what exactly are the advantages. Is it purley for the feel, or does it allow you to actually keep more boost when you catch the next gear. Thanks for the help.

 

Just a shorter throw, but takes more force to get into gear. Its just moving the fulcrum on the lever.
