Yesterday was tire change day. a good day in any mans week. (assuming your not getting new tires due to some lil punk that slashed them or uncovered road hazards) But mine was just plain old wore out. So i decided to see what the ole girl could do without any "performance enhancers" ( i think thats the policical term these days lol) But she did pretty good. Could be the wore out tires, or the hot new ashfault ( hot due to 80F day now that it was THAT new.

hehe, after the tires were installed the service writer goes um yeah ,they put a note in here no tread warrenty will be honored due to over acceleration/abuse. :P Which i didnt think they were anyway. oh well. but my brother and I were like hum wonde how they guessed. Drove the truck 50 miles to the tire place so all the evidence i know to look for on the tire was gone but didnt thinkk of one thing. all the rubber that was now stuck to the mud flaps exhaust, rear rockers and so on :P it was sad

Nice!! I would have done that with my old tires in a heartbeat if i had a nice goerend tranny or something. To afraid to do it with the limited slip and a stock torque converter though

Yeah i worry bout that sometimes myself, That tranny has been good to me. 160k still just like new. Still nice and tight. Shell sit there and idle right along at 10-15 mph,, with enough space (distance) its even gotten enough speed built up to shift. Theres two marks , We didnt take time to get a picture of them the construction crew was 1/4 mile behind us workin haha. wonder if they noticed :P I worry bout the posi sometimes,, but i figure as long as both break loose im still good

Cool pictures man. You should have gotten a pic so we could see how long your burnout was.
