scotty 2

hi guys,

for you guys running scotty 2's what egt drops are you getting. with my drag comp on 5x5 i can hit 1600 in a big hurry. will a scotty be the answer to help with egts. i can only run at full throtle 1/4-1/2 block before the go peddle has to come up a little. i have a heat sheild with a filter simaler to a afe but its not cutting it. any thoughts, suggestions or ideas will really be appreciated.

thanks to all, mooseman

I would try an Scotty2. Are you using a AFE or just a knock off AFE?

The SCOTTY should cut you down a couple hundred degrees. it does mine.

If you are at stock fuelling levels you wont see much of an egt drop. To gain max benefit from a Scotty 2 you should probably be over 375-400 hp

The Scotty RA-II should help lower those EGTs. We now offer the Scotty's with a new 2-Stage foam air filter that stops more dirt and still flows great. You may also want to consider a TAG or TAG-II with the scotty as they have also been reported to lower EGTs significantly as well as quiet the sound from the Scotty.

The scotty 2 will help a good bit on your truck. A couple hundred degrees with the hole cut. If that doesn't work, then try the TAG. It might not look like much, but from what I've read, it seems to work. If those two things don't bring them down enough, then it's time for a different turbo.

I have the SCOTTY 2 with 4.5 hole running open all the time. What is this TAG, as I am not familiar with it?
