single HX-40/16. The truck will now do at about half throttle
what it took you and I to at full throttle on I-95 that day.

I have had that "Prime-Loc" on my truck almost since it
was new and have NEVER had ANY problems with the unit
at all! The fuel filter changes are MUCH easier than having
to reach WAY UNDER the rear part of the engine to get the
stock fuel filter. Like you, I have heard of the Prime-Loc
units giving the 24 valve owners pressure problems though.
