Scary...

Today i was driving home from school. 400 mile trip. When all the sudden the truck decided it wanted to go faster without my permission. I was just cruzing along at like 1800 RPM when i heard the turbo spool up. I thought, hmm, haha that sounds cool. Next thing i know a big puff of black smoke and off we go. (this is without my foot on the throttle) I figured that i just accidently hit the "resume" button on the cruze because before i hit traffic I had it set at around 2200 so I tapped the brake. No response. So I stomped on the brake. She was having none of that. Just kept on accelerating. Finally i pushed the clutch in and it quit. Just dropped to idle. It has never done this to me before and it hasn't done it since. And no codes. What the hech caused this. All of this only lasted for less than two seconds but it still scared me to death. Any Ideas?

My employees truck started to do the same thing. Came up with an apps code so we replaced it. Went for a test drive and still did same thing. We found out that in the computer a 5v hot shorted to the signal wire for a bunch of different sensors. Ended up replacing the computer on side of block and now all is well....

Makes me wonder about the clock spring wiring on the steering wheel. Since most switch contacts are are made on the ground side nowadays, maybe the Accel wire grounded.
