S480 too small?
S480 too small?
So I was doing some chating and got a general concensus from several guys that a S480 is not only too small, but WAY too small to go under a 66.... they said to look at something in the 88mm range as a bottom snail... they told me the S480 is an 80mm... so what frame is the 88? Still a S400 based turbo or what?
Has this set-up been done enough for there to be a "kit" per say, as in piping? Really any info on an 88mm turbo or something suitable to go under my 66 would be appreciated.

No, the 66/88 would be when I p-pump it... if I went with a 88. I'm just trying to gather some info on what bottom turbo would work best with the 66 I already have. A 62 would be a step backwards... and would get hot in a hurry with 240 sticks...
Guys have done 1k+ on 62mm as the secondary. IMO, the 66 is a step backward in terms of spool up. Once the primary lights, the secondary is only compressing the air, the ability to move air isn't as critical as it is as a single. But before the primary lights, its all on the secondary. The earlier it comes in, the sooner everything gets going.
As for the 88mm, you can get it in an S400 and S500 frame.

External gate would fix any issues caused by running a smaller secondary turbo. VP's truck could run S488's, just like any 12mm P7100 pumps, if you spray.
