As some of you know Eric (cumminsdriver635) is gone for the summer to colorado to help harvest wheat on a 16000 acre farm. Me and him are 3rd cousins and are just about as close as brothers. Anyways, after he gets back from colorado his wallet should be padded quite well and hes wantin to spend a little bit of his hard earned money on another upgrade for his truck
Was talkin him on the phone today and he was wanting me to make a post for him. Hes thinking about putting a set of 191's in but he's kinda worried about his EGTs being too high. His truck is a 94 auto with a triple disc goerend tc and transgo shift kit, 3kgsk, 0 plate, 16* timing, k&n cone filter, and 4 inch exhaust. He told me that he would really like for his EGTs to be below 1500* in a wide open pass in the 1/4. Right now with his mods his EGTs are at about 1300 at the end of the 1/4. He was just wanting to get some input from some of you guys on here. Also, what kind of RWHP gain can you expect from a set of 191s?

Thanks for the reply joefarmer. I think hes got a 14 cm housing on there, but im not for sure. I forgot to put this in earlier, his truck does have the 160 pump and stock injectors.

with some 191's
hed be pushin the limits of a stocker perhaps, i guess what i would need to know is what boost numbers is he seein? he could block out the wastegate and use those 191 DV's and probably make it work... but he might risk grenading a turbo...

So do you think he'd be better of with 181s instead? What other suggestions might yall have for power upgrades?
find a 215 pump and put on it he will be more happy with it. I tried 191's in my 160 pump and did not like how quick it would get real hot it did not give enough power for the heat that I gained. I bought my 215 pump for just a little more than what I paid for dv's and then sold the 160 for almost as much.

thats about the limit of the stocker, I can make about 44 psi on mine and clutch went boom, aint done that again

shouldnt be an problem i hope, and i must retake the hearing part of the physical, inconsistent results. so im told, (that reminds me i have a call to make) I got an insurance check but ima put it to use on what the truck needs, more than just what i want. Mark my words tho when i get on with BP if i do (pray for me) I will get me a dual disk and probably rips twins, are lookin as the best right now. Much better price and better performance than PDR...
till then, i sold some 215's and i have 191s, laser cuts wont come till much later when i have air...
