ripp'n out the cat (and muffler)
I took off my muffler and cat today ;D!! Sounds pretty great, just one question that I sould have asked first. Will this hurt the turbo at all. When I let off the throttle, the turbo makes a funny noise like its gasping for air. I drive this truck everyday pretty hard too. I planned on getting my exhaus rerun from the down. back, then split off into duals before dumping just behind the rear wheels. If there is potential for hazard the way I have it now, I guess I will have to get the work done sooner.

i've noticed that with a k&n, taking out the silencer ring greatly diminished the whoosh-whoosh. when i install it back in, i can actually see the boost guage needle going up and down when it happens...plus the sound is a lot louder.

Tom
