Rip Rook

Fabbed up a new exhaust system..... with NO muffler.... and here is the kicker... it is Quiet in the cab and "ol blue"..."sounds like a 10L V-8 "...... should be an interesting experiment.
Here's hoping it turns out well! 8)

Re:Rip Rook

Juice, what are the specifics of the exhaust system you "fabbed up"? 4" all the way? What is the "experiment"? Is this system something new and different?

Like a 4" down pipe and the rest 5"? 3" down pipe, 4" to the resonator into a 5" "Y" and 5" to the two 6" gold plated, curved tips exhausting on both sides of the spare tire?

Maybe a 4" down pipe into a 5" "Y", 5" chrome plated, over to both sides of the truck and back, using them as Nerf Bars, exhausting through 6" powder coated, gold plated, clear coated, curved tips just in front of the rear tires? Now THAT would be an experiment!!!

What ever...if Rip did it it is a good job. Just don't leave us hangin' as to what was done!

Stan

So to amswer your question, it is new, just a little untested. i'll post some results as the info becomes available
Hey Juice,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like something a lot of wives especially, would go for. We like the noise - they don't like it in the cab.

Hope you didn't mind a little ribbing..........

Stan

I made a mock up... changed it until i got the sound decent then phoned rip.... as soon as he finishes i am sure to be the first to hear of the success (or dismal failure) of the experiment. on a side note, this setup will cost 2-10???? HP to run. it will be self scavenging (more efficient) at its new resonant frequency, but above or below that frequency it incur a slight HP penalty. However, until i hear from Rip, its all just some crazy numbers and a bit of theory.
