Replacing the Holley with what?
 

Well on my quest for more power I'm going to have to address my fuel system. So, I'm going to have to ditch the holley and get something else that will improve my FP. Right now I'm seeing 11 at idle and I can bring it down to 6 PSI, maybe a wee bit lower, when I really get on it. My question is what should I replace the Holley with? Is the Walboro really the ticket now adays or is there a better pump?

I've been thinking about an Aeromotive pump or the Walboro.

Yeah I looked at that exact one also. A1000 Aeromotive, flows 500 lbs/hr at 45psi. I just can't drop 300 bucks on a pump. [tapdshut]

a cheap Lift pump is the carter 4501. I think that you can buy it for around 80 bucks. Its the same thing as the cummins except for you have to change the inlet/output fittings to NPT. The wiring harness needs a bit of tweaking as well. I haven't seen any pressure at my injection pump below 13psi since my fass was installed four years ago.

I saw the price too.:o Dont need 45 psi anyway , then you will need a regulator and return line.

I read about a Cummins pn/ 4090046 $65 from cummins. Same as 3990105 $155?? Anyone know?

When my Holley goes I will definately be getting a walbro setup.

Is that the Campaign pump? Also I've searched a little and found that some are using mallory pumps. hmm desicions.

Like to find out what the #4090046 cummins pump is off and if the fitting holes are the same size or bigger or what?

Well the walboro is out for now, I don't want to mess with a return line and all this other crap. I just want a better replacement pump. [verymad]

I just found out that the #4090046 pump is the same as the Campaign pump.

I think I maybe going this route I mean the pump is only 50 bucks! I can buy and use one as a spare. [roll]

What about the aeromotive street/strip pump? Summit has it as a part number AEI-11203, price is 165.95. puts out 18-20 psi, is this too high? I have a friend that is upgrading his fuel system and thinking about that pump.

Before you give up on the holley, stretch the spring in it (real ez to do) and you can get your pressure up. If you still need more you could put the stocker on with it and get all the pressure you will ever need

Look at my first thread.... That's one that I am considering, but I may try and stretch that spring first. Does anyone have a diagram of the Blue pump?

Im in the same shoes as you superdave, I have low FP right now and want to go above the Blue. That aeromotive pump looks like a good deal, a few more psi than the Blue.

Could you plumb two Blue back to back???? Just a thought.
