Replacement clutch?

What's a good clutch replacement for a 5600? Stock with a edge EZ chip. Max towing is about 7k pounds

I really like my south bend con ofe. It takes everything I have thrown at it. I have grown to like the crisp engagement too

Would a south bend last longer than a stocker?

I wen't with Valair. I wrinkled the hub on my LUK. It didn't slip, it tweaked. I was unimpressed. The Valair has held up fine, didn't cost much more than stock and is holding significantly more HP than specced for. http://valairinc.com/performance/24nv5600.html
I got the HD spring hub one with organic friction for durability and smooth engagement- the higher HP exotic friction discs are either grabby or wear out quickly.

Yes and no. Any clutch you go with will not last forever. Its kinda like expecting brake pads and rotors to last a lifetime. That being said I believe a SB clutch will outlast any oem clutch as long as your not overpowering the clutch and treat it right. I would call peter at south bend and tell him what you will be doing with the truck and he can help you decide. I have no experience with valair so I'm not saying they are a lesser product.

Removing and installing a NV5600 can be a chore, many will tell you don't cheap out on a clutch in these trucks.

I went with a SB Con OFE after taking into consideration what I am really going to use my truck for. It has been a great clutch with smooth engagement and doesn't balk at the occasional 12K trailer I pull....
