Removing the spring on the afc

I just modded the afc foot and tried it with the stock spring ,then a new softer and longer spring an it seems not to have the same throttle response. Could I just remove the spring all together or use a really small/soft spring for more throttle response.

If you have no foot or a really soft spring, the initial fueling can be too high. Too much fuel at low RPM is not good, makes for lots of smoke and actually is known to "put out the fire" being too rich. Without changing anything, just try to use your foot to control the fuel. Roll on the throttle slowly with RPM and you will feel the difference as opposed to just slamming it to the floor.

I'll give that a try. It's probably me with my heavy foot.

Djust your starwheel tension, make it to where it takes a second or two for it to really start letting the fuel in (while the turbo is spooling) then once the turbo starts hitting hard it will get full fuel quiker and it'll hit harder... I'm so tired....
