ready to install guages..a little bit confused...
I got my gauges from diesel manor, i didnt order any of the extra stuff like u guys said...and the kit came with that isolator thing, but not the braided line...going by the directions it looks like i gotta have the line now????? has anyone else used this kit that can tell me if i need to get the line..or how to get around it and not even use the isolator?? whats the best way to go??
im all excited and ready to install, but a little confused about this part and wanna find out before i tear into it..thanks..

I think the best way to go is just run a straight line to the gauge. I hate isolators. They are no where near accurate in most cases. Just go to your local hose and gasket place or something like that to get some line.
it came with 2 differnt 10' sections of "oil pressure line"...really tiny black stuff...it said one of them is to be used for the boost, and the other use from the fuel isolator, to the guage..so does that mean i can just hook that tiny little black line into the fuel source and go all the way to the guage with it without any problems??
I wouldn't connect that oil pressure line. I really don't trust that thin stuff going into the cab. Go and get some braided line or some rubber fuel line with connectors for the VP and your gauge. Also a needle valve would be a good idea just incase you develop a leak you can just turn it off. I've been running my gauge for a year and a half with no problems.

That 1/8" line is usually air-brake line and is pretty good. I've used it directly to my gauge for 2+ years. Don't over tighten the small compression fitting and it should be fine. Protect it through the firewall with a good grommet. I agree with ditching the isolator, sell it on E-Bay, they're kinda expensive.
The simplest way is to run a grease gun hose from your fuel line source up to a place around the truck's brake lines. ( keep it away from the lines as they can get very hot). Grease gun hose because it comes with 1/8" NPT male ends and is somewhat less rigid than tubing and can absorb some of the pulses from the VP-44. Get at least an 18" hose and I have a 24" that sets better than the 18 I started with. A brass needle valve like this one NEEDLE VALVE to also limit flow to a narrow crack in the valve and shut off fuel should a leak ever happen. Then the brake hose to the gauge.
There are a million ways to do this, but this is about the simplest and cheapest.

ok i dunno what that said...lol....on the phone and typing , not paying attention....will i be able to bend the copper line and get it to fit up into the a-piller and have enough room to get it to the guage??
