Rancho shocks

Have just tried to order a set of Rancho shocks for my truck. Was told by the dealer who even put me on hold and called the factory that these shocks are not available for the '03's and that they have no ETA for them.
Anybody else have this info? Is the dealer telling me the truth?

Re:Rancho shocks

I tried to get shocks for my 01 1500 offroad version, not available yet unless I go to the dealer. I wanted to get some for the 02 3500 but have not tried yet.

Re:Rancho shocks

OK, if the Rancho's are not available and may not be available for a while any suggestions from anybody as to the next best thing such as Bilsteins? Any particular model etc? Any shock and model to avoid?<br>I want something that will significantly alter the no load ride of my truck.

Re:Rancho shocks

Call a 4 wheel drive shop and find out what shocks are in there kits. They can find shocks for anything. I do know that Rancho builds shocks for people. They built me six for my off road rig. You have to tell them the mounts for both sides, how long the shock can be at full droop and what the smallest it can be at compression, and then where the truck sits level. Then they can find a shock that will work. I did this with RS 9000's and it didnt cost me anymore than what they advertise. A good place to call is 4wheel parts wholesalers in CA. They are the ones that hooked me up.

Re:Rancho shocks

Thanks, except that I am way down in Mexico and to do things like that although not impossible is a super PIA. Was hoping that one of the readers of this whine could quickly point me in the right direction.

Re:Rancho shocks

I would recommend superlift shocks. They are good shocks and not to expensive. I like rancho personally but if they dont make them, check with superlift.
