Rancho 9000 bushing problems

The lower bushings on my front shocks have worn down enough to cause up/down and side-side movement when in motion. These shocks have less than 15k on them and I don't take it off road. Is this common or could there be another cause?

Have not had, or heard of, this problem...over 40,000 miles on mine. Maybe your 3" lift?

Body lift wouldn't affect the suspension. Maybe the 2" coil spacers are too much?

It is common for the lower bushings to come loose. You have to REALLY crank them tight!

The bushings on most off the shelf shocks are junk. Pull the shocks off, replace the bushings and then crank them down tight when you put them back on. Take a look at the clearance between the bushing and the lower mount....you might need to slip a thin washer in there to take up the slack.

Anyone know where I can get bushings that will match and hold up longer? A part # would be sweet.

Put the impact gun on there and crank on it. I had the same problem on my old truck and that's how I fixed it.

You don't need a part #, just go to or call the place you got your shocks from and ask for shock bushings. Any off road store should have them.
